Molly Mayes
... was born and raised in Dallas. At the age of six she started her riding career. Molly’s first instructor was Major and Mrs. Valko, who are best known for bringing the riding discipline of “Dressage” to Texas.
Upon the Valko’s retirement Molly rode and showed under the coaching of John Phillips. After competing mainly Jr. and Open Jumpers in the Southwest and the east coast Molly’s riding stopped for many years.
While never losing this passion for riding, she was reunited to the discipline of Dressage and utilizes the principals from “The Training Scale and Classical Dressage”. Alex Wortmann coaches and oversees all her training. Molly earned her German Riding Medal in Silver and continues to hone her riding skills by training with Hella Kuntz at Stall Ramsbrock in Germany four to six months a year.
Molly’s receives instructions from Sue Casey along with the training from master clinicians, Herr Paul Stecken, the oldest and most honored master in Germany, Hannes Muller, FN, Director and Chief Trainer of the German Academy for Professional Riders, Eckard Meyners, professor of sports physiology at the University of Luneburg in Germany and Senior Rider Johann Meixner, Spanish Riding School, Vienna, who assisted in publishing, Guidelines for Executing a Methodical Approach in Training Rider and Horse at the Imperial Riding Schools.
Molly’s continues to impart the training and experiences received from the international trainers in order provide the same high quality instruction to the Rocking M students.
