Summer Camps

Riders may enroll in one or more sessions. The horses and ponies can accommodate the true beginner as well as the more advanced rider. The camp is an equestrian camp only and the motto is to have fun but be SAFE! The camp is located at 7807 Fair Oaks (at the corner of Walnut Hill and Fair Oaks in northeast Dallas).

Rocking M Stables Summer Mini Camps 2010

Rocking M will be offering special "Camps" for our youngest students, beginners, intermediate/beginners and intermediate riders. We will be offering an adult jumping and dressage classes. – The camps will include daily riding, horse management and a lot of fun!..

To help keep horse and rider cool in the summer heat each day starts with a bathing session for the horse!! A healthy "child and horse friendly snack" will be provided daily (did you know horses love watermelon?)

2010 Summer Camp Schedule

The following Pony and Riding camps offered at Rocking M for the 2010 summer. There will be "Mini" summer camps for the younger riders who are interested in horsemanship and riding.

"Pony Lessons" children with horse

Will be offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ...( 3 days) 9 -11 am
4-8 years of age. The classes will be limited to 4 children per session.

Cost $300 for the 3 day week.

"Beginner/Beginner Intermediate riding lessons"

Will be offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...( 3 days)11-30- 1:30 pm
8 years of age + limited to 4 children each session.
Cost $300 for the 3 day week.

Session 1...June 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Session 2...June 8th, 9th and 10th
Session 3...June 15th, 16th and 17th
Session 4...June 22nd, 23rd and 24th
Session 5...July 6th, 7th and 8th
Session 6...July 13th, 14th and 15th
Session 7...July 20th, 21st and 22nd

Sign up with your friends or have us place you with some new ones! Each session will include daily horse care, riding and fun.Dominique Miller (who works with our younger riders and adult beginners during the school year) will be teaching the summer camps with the help from one of Rocking M’s wonderful students, Miss Eleanor Skinner, who will be heading off to College in the fall. We are limiting our summer camps to only 4 children each session so each student is given the opportunity to learn and have lots of hands on experience. All students will require boots with a heel, (no high heel boots please!) jeans/ long pants, a water bottle (labeled) and a smile!We do have helmets available. We will provide a daily snack (carrots or watermelon) and a popsicle. We will need a signed waiver and information sheet from each student.
