meet the team
Rocking M Stables, led by husband-and-wife team Michael Mayes and Yvonne Kusserow, who take great pride in fostering a warm, welcoming barn community where both horses and riders feel truly at home. Yvonne, a German-trained and licensed Dressage master, shares her knowledge and passion for Classical Dressage with every horse and rider she teaches, bringing out the best in each partnership.
They are joined by trainers Karey and Allison, who bring their own expertise and dedication, helping riders of all levels grow with confidence and purpose. Together, the Rocking M team blends tradition, skill, and genuine care—creating not just a place to ride and train, but a community where lifelong connections are built between people and horses.

Join the ROCKING M family
What makes Rocking M so special isn’t just the training or the facilities—it’s the feeling of stepping into a hidden oasis in the heart of the city. With direct access to Harry Moss Park, riders find a quiet refuge where horses thrive, and people rediscover why they fell in love with riding in the first place. From Summer Camps to advanced Dressage training that builds champions, Rocking M continues to honor its roots: a family’s devotion, a community’s gathering place, and a rare reminder of country life in the middle of Dallas.

HORSE BOARDING
With direct access to Harry Moss Park, riders enjoy a serene retreat where horses flourish and riders reconnect with the joy of riding.
Accolades and accomplishments

This 4-year-old PRE gelding is the sweetest horse you will ever meet. Ken has all the positive attributes we love in this breed. He has a laid-back personality, smooth gaits and a puppy dog personality. Ken was castrated and imported in the beginning of this year and will start his journey to Dallas end of September.
He has three smooth gaits while the walk has a clear rhythm and overstep! We believe in a systematic approach in training a young horse and therefore Ken has not been overworked. He shows already nice balance in walk, trot and canter, can be ridden by kids or adults alike and has been on many trail rides in a group!
